QUESTIONS:

1. What important charge does the Lord instruct the churches to remember? 2Timothy 2:14

2. What does the Lord warn us regarding the results of strife of words over strange doctrines? Verse 16

3. If we permit this forbidden strife among us, what will be the result? To what is it compared? Verse 17

NOTE:

A canker is a troublesome sore that finally will destroy life, and in this same way will contention and strife cause death to our spiritual life causing indifference and discouragement.

4. What questions are we intructed to avoid and why? Verse 23; 1Timothy 1:4-6; Titus 3:9

NOTE:

Our duty in service is to feed the lambs and the sheep. John 23:15-17. Strife  and argument is far from wholesome food, and such poisons the lives of the week, and the babies in Messiah.

6. Should people oppose themselves against us for teaching the truth, shall we unkindly resent it? Verse 25

7. Should we ever speak evil of anyone, or should we show gentleness and meekness? Luke 6:27, 28; 36-38

The prophet Isaiah says, "How beautiful upon the mountain are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace, that bringeth good  tidings of GOOD" 52:7

9. What will the redeemed be zealous of? Titus 2:12-14
