Scripture Reading: Titus 2:1-15

Memory Verse: Titus 2:4

A Messianic Wife is to be a loving partner to her husband in  their joint walk of faith, as well as a powerful example to their children. This, of course, is no easy task and the Holy Scriptures offer much advice and help concerning the fulfilling of this important role.

  1. What companionship did Elohim provide for Adam?  Gen 2:18-24 And  Hashem Adonai said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a help meet for him.
Gen 2:19  And out of the ground Hashem Adonai formed every beast of the field and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.
Gen 2:20  And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field, but for Adam, there was not found a help meet for him.
    Gen 2:21  And the Hashem Adonai caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;
Gen 2:22  And the rib, which Hashem Adonai had taken from man, made he a woman and brought her unto the man.
Gen 2:23  And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman because she was taken out of Man.
Gen 2:24  Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
  2. What affection does the Messianic wife have for her Husband? Titus 2:4 That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,
  3. What mutual consideration should there be between the husband and his wife? 1Co 7:3  Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband.
  4. Since the husband is the head of the household, what respect should the wife have for her husband? Eph 5:22  Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto  Hashem.Eph 5:24  Therefore as the church is subject unto Y'shuah, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything. Col 3:18  Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Y'shuah.
  5. What other wifely virtue does the Bible command? 1Ti 3:11  Even so must their wives be grave, not slanderers, sober, faithful in all things. Tit 2:5  To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of Elohim be not blasphemed.
  6. What does the wisdom of the wise woman do? Pro 14:1  Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands. Pro 31:27  She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.
  7. On the other hand what particularly deplorable traits are mentioned? 1Ti 5:13  And withal they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house; and not only idle, but tattlers also and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not.
  8. How precious is a good wife? Pro 31:10  Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.
  9. What honour does a good wife bring to her husband? Pro 31:11  The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil. Pro 31:28  Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.
  10. How should such a wife be esteemed?  Pro 31:11  The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil. Pro 31:28  Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.
  11. What is the reward of a good wife? Pro 31:28  Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.
Pro 31:30  Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.
Pro 31:31  Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.
  12. Will a good wife have joy in the time to come?( in old age) Pro 31:25  Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.
