  1. What does the Hashem Adonai forbid in the 6th Commandment? Exo 20:13  Thou shalt not kill. 
  2. When a poor sinner came to Y'shua to enquire how he might gain life eternal, What did Y'shua emphasize? Mat 19:16  And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?  
    Mat 19:17  And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.  
    Mat 19:18  He saith unto him, Which? Y'shuah said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,  
    Mat 19:19  Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 
  3. In what way is the sin of anger likened unto killing? Mat 5:21  Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:  
    Mat 5:22  But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. 
  4. What kind of people are given to anger? Eph 4:26  Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Ecc 7:9  Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry: for anger resteth in the bosom of fools. 
  5. Do we actually have to take life in order to be guilty of murder? 1Jn 3:15  Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him. 
  6. What wonderful words of admonition did Y'shua speak when Peter attempted to protect Him with a sword? Mat 26:51  And, behold, one of them which were with Y'shua stretched out his hand, and drew his sword, and struck a servant of the high priest's, and smote off his ear.  
    Mat 26:52  Then said Y'shua unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword. 
  7. From what source did Y'shua say He would seek protection? Mat 26:53  Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels? 
  8. When the enemy had surrounded Elisha, who protected him? Can we claim the same2Ki 6:15  And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do?  
    2Ki 6:16  And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them.  
    2Ki 6:17  And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.  protection if our hearts are right?: Joh 15:7  If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. 
  9. Are we justified in exercising self-defense, or must we as Messianics, rely wholly upon Heaven for protection? Mat 5:38  Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:  
    Mat 5:39  But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.  
    Mat 5:40  And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloke also.  
    Mat 5:41  And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.  
    Mat 5:42  Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.  
    Love Your Enemies 
    Mat 5:43  Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.  
    Mat 5:44  But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;  
    Mat 5:45  That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.  
  10. for What reason was the first murder committed? 1Jn 3:12  Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous. 
  11. What other sins are listed along with murder? Rom 1:29  Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,  
    Rom 1:30  Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,  
    Rom 1:31  Without understanding, covenant-breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: 
  12. What will be the ultimate end of Murderers? Rev 21:8  But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.  

Note: The correct definition of the word murder means to take away life, Therefore we need to give this question very serious thought. Very often the taking of life is legalized,but we must always bear in mind that Elohim is the giver of life in His hands,and His Hands alone.
