The youth body is widely known by the acronym COGYOK. The acronym that stands for Church of God Youth Organization of Kenya.

The youth body is widely known by the acronym COGYOK. The acronym that stands for Church of God Youth Organization of Kenya. It is an organization whose entire members are unmarried young men and women. It was started in 1986 and tasked with the role of unifying all youths in the Church of God 7th Day, promote the spread of the word of God and empower all its members in all aspects of their lives. The ministry is currently headed by Pastor Mugoya and Elder Gitari. The group runs a number of activities aimed at strengthening and growing the church, such as:

  1. AGM: This is one of the major events in every year. Youths from all parts of the country gather for one week where they receive training from their mentors and renowned speakers on various aspects of their lives.
  2. Leadership Seminars: The national committee organizes two leadership seminars in the months of May and September. The aim of these seminars is to train and nurture young leaders in the youth body. Also, leaders from every region in the country present their reports to the national committee on their progress at the village level.
  3. Gospel Outreaches: They are organised and facilitated by youths at all levels, (from village to national level) with the sole purpose of reaching out to those who are snared by the devil.
  4. Vigils: They are organised at village and county levels, where youths gather and hold a joint fellowship overnight. It is an activity that helps youths remain vigilant as well as unify them.
  5. Prayer Retreats: During such retreats, youths gather for prayer and fasting with the aim of spiritual nourishment.
  6. Visits: the group usually makes visits to other churches so as to strengthen their fellow brethren.
  7. Charity work to visit the needy and provide material as well as social support.
