Messiah, A Prophet like unto Moses

Moses was sent from Mt Sinai in Midian while Yahshua was sent from a spiritual 'Mt Zion' in heaven

Deuteronomy 18:15 “Adonai will raise up for you a prophet like me from among yourselves, from your own kinsmen. You are to pay attention to him."

Like the patriarch Joseph, Moses was a 'picture' of Yahshua in many significant ways; Though he was God's chosen deliverer, Moses was initially rejected by the Israelites & turned to the Gentiles thus taking a 'foreign' bride (As Yahshua is doing now but will later take Judah back). After being tested in the desert, he was empowered to become Israel's savior.

Both Moses & Yahshua were sent from the 'mountain of God' to free Israel. Moses was sent from Mt Sinai in Midian while Yahshua was sent from a spiritual 'Mt Zion' in heaven (Hebrews 12:22).

The New Testament relates that Moses & Elijah later met with Yahshua to discuss his 'departure', literally 'His Exodus' that he would accomplish at Jerusalem to redeem the entire world (Luke 9:30-31).

We also read that the scribes sent a delegation to question John the Baptist asking him two questions:

1)-"Are you Elijah"(John 1:21) - This referred to Malachi's prophecy(Malachi 4:5) that Elijah would come as a messenger before Messiah.

2)-"Are you the Prophet?"- This referred to Moses' prophecy that God would send a Prophet like unto me. (Deut 18:15)

We further read that when Phillip encountered Nathaniel, he said, "We have found him who Moses in the Law, and also the Prophets wrote Yahshua of Nazareth, son of Joseph (John 1:45)

After He fed the 5000, the people began to ask if this was 'the Prophet' who is to come into the world (John 6:14). Peter identified Yahshua as the Prophet (Acts 3:22-23). Also did Stephen the martyr before the Sanhedrin (Acts 7:37-38)

John 5:46 For if you really believed Moshe, you would believe me; because it was about me that he wrote.
