The Hebrew word for Truth is Emet (אםת).
The Hebrew word for Truth is Emet (אםת).
The Hebrew word for Truth is Emet (אםת). Emet has three letters which are far apart: Aleph (א), the first letter of the Hebrew alphabet, Mem (ם), the middle letter & Tav (ת) the last letter.
But the word for falsehood is Sheker(שקר). These letters lie next to each other in sequence in the Hebrew alphabet, Shin (ש), Qof (ק), and Resh (ר).
Truth is when you look at the whole picture, the beginning, the middle & the end, unlike falsehood that looks at only one single point. Truth is being able to look at your pain in the context of the truth, don't just look at a single moment of pain in your life and be indifferent towards God.
Truth is knowing that God sees your pain because you believe He is in complete control & He is micromanaging us as His creation. Truth is having the faith & trust that whatever pain comes our way is sent to accomplish a certain purpose. Though it might not be pleasant at the time, we have the trust that God's pain is purposeful & good (1 Peter 1:7). The scriptures do not say we won't suffer, we are bound to suffer just like our Messiah did, 'the servant is not greater than his master'(John 15:20).
Everyone who wants to live a godly life will suffer pain. God will not take us out the world as some in error believe, but He will protect us from the persecution to come(John 17:15) & He will give us the crown of life (Revelation 3:10).
Even in relationships we should see the whole picture, if we rub shoulders with a friend or relative, we should give one another the benefit of doubt. No man is flawless. That's being truthful, looking at the whole picture & not at one single point of error which is falsehood.
Psalms 119:142 - Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness. YOUR TORAH IS TRUTH.
