True to the declaration of Hashem, it is sad that we usually subscribe to the spirit of servitude/slavery for six days. Most of our times we spend our six days life serving that which should be serving us.
True to the declaration of Hashem, it is sad that we usually subscribe to the spirit of servitude/slavery for six days. Most of our times we spend our six days life serving that which should be serving us.
From Proverbs 25:2 we gather that "......It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter." Therefore it would be prudent for us, kings (Revelation 5:9,10) to search out this matter as declared by Elohim in Deuteronomy 5: 13 and in Exodus 20:9. Otherwise, Yahshua will lament over us as he did those of old in Yokhanan/John 5: 39 as follows, "You search the Scriptures because you think you possess everlasting life in them. And these are the ones that bear witness of Me." So brethren, let us embark to find Yahshua in this declaration of Hashem: six days shall though labour, and do all thy work.
It is very interesting to note that this declaration, being the word of Hashem is a double-edged sword. In it, there is slavery and freedom. If we start with the word labour, it's translated from the Torah word "abad". Interesting, "abad" is the same word that gives rise to "abodah"/slavery such as what Israelites went through in Egypt (Exodus 1:14).
True to the declaration of Hashem, it is sad that we usually subscribe to the spirit of servitude/slavery for six days. Most of our times we spend our six days life serving that which should be serving us. In II Kepha/Peter 2:19 it is clear that ".....of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage." In our six days endeavours, we fear that if we are not smart enough, we will go hungry, and if we go hungry we will starve to death. With this single fallacy, the enemy lays in wait for us for six days. He plays with our ignorance and hypes us into a frenzy that has seized this world to amass as much as one can at any cost. Sadly, sometimes the cost is our very souls as we compromise our integrity in business deals, securing a promotion, exploiting the environment oblivious of our destructive activities in farming with toxins and what a view. It's is a murderous dance that often denies us a chance even to nourish our souls spiritually as we ought to.
Yahshua revealed that what Elohim gave us when he created us is far more than what we think. He stated the following truth in Mathew 6:25, "Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?" Many a time this is usually dismissed as a fool's belief. Yet nothing could be more true than this fact. For a fact, life is not equal to food otherwise Elohim should not be alive. And if we truly are his children, having taken on his nature, then our very existence is not bound to food intake.
But many a time, it is not even food that gives us sleepless nights. It's the spirit that the preacher declared as the vanity of vanities and chasing after the wind. We are caught up in a scramble for material gain at the expense of the salvation of our very souls. Many times we live in a deceptive/false/delusive equation that life is equal to our possession. Nothing could be far from the truth as this declaration of Yahshua lays bear the lie as follows in Luke 12:15, "....beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth..." This means that a billionaire does not have more life than the man who slept on a hungry stomach. As long as both are alive, then none has a lesser quantity/quality of life than the other for both are alive.
Therefore, it is needless to be a slave to our very needs. We should not spend our six days in fear of our circumstances. Many times our circumstances lord over us and we meekly carry out their enslaving demands even overboard. We should learn to say no to hunger demands as hunger itself does, clothing demands as the lilies themselves do, housing demands as birds do, luxury demands, work demands, spouses demands, family demands, social demands, economic demands and what a view if giving in will cost us our freedom.
You see, in John 10:10 Yahshua declares ".....I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly...." When we live in fear of the falsehood rooted in worldly philosophy of work to live instead of the heavenly philosophy of live to work, we will never realise this promise of Yahshua.
This truth is further illustrated by the other part of the declaration of Hashem: do all thy work. The word work in Torah is "melakah". It is closely related to malak/messenger/angel. This reveals that Elohim intended our endeavours to be our messengers/servants/slaves. They should serve us and not we serving them. It is like the common question asked in the spirit of amassing wealth: does money work for you or do you work for money? This begs each of us to re-examine our relationship with our six days work. Are we the masters/gods and our six days endeavours our slaves or are our six days endeavours our master/gods and we are the slaves?
When Yahshua incarnates the declaration of Elohim: six days shall though labour and do all your works, then we understand it as follows; we should not be slaves of our endeavours for six days but our six days endeavours should be our messengers/servants/slaves. It is declared in John 8:36, "...if the Son, therefore, shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed..." Therefore we should grow out of our fear of losing our life because it is this fear that enslaves us to our six days endeavours. Yahshua lives in us and he is our life. Therefore, we should play our role of gods/masters for Hashem assigns it to us as follows, ".....Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High" (Psalms 82:6; John 10: 34,35).
